  • Rev Dr John Lucas

    In 1986 I started a DMin course at Adelaide Bible College from Fuller Seminary in Los Angeles. During the breaks in teaching by Dr Peter Wagner, Dr Wagner would prayer for people. During one of those breaks the Holy Spirit came upon me. It was the beginning of God’s call to the healing/deliverance ministry of Jesus which became the focus of my dissertation and my life.

    For the next 38 years I have been praying for people, property and possessions to be set free from all their bondages to sin, sickness and Satan.

    I started Pools of Healing in 1998 and trained teams to join me in this endeavour. God brought very damaged people to my door that needed more than deliverance. They needed to be put back together. God showed me how to work with Him to do this.

    Then God called me to Freedom Life Centre in Toowoomba Queensland Australia in 2004. In 2006 my position was not extended and so I started Walkingfree Renewing Ministries in 2007.

    God provided sponsors and Charity Status to fund me halftime and my wife as the administrator for 20 hours per week. The other half of my time was to be a church minister to small churches.

    In 201 I started to go to India to train pastors and raised money to provide a church/home to two pastors and their families. I continue to support these pastors through teaching materials and finances.

    In 2016, my church at Hawthorn SA raised money to build a church in Kegan, near Homa Bay Kenya. Pastor Isaac is the minister and he has 7 church pastors under him in towns nearby.

    I write conference and sermon material for these pastors and financelly support them and their families.

    In 2023 the Lord instructed me to close Walkingfree and write up all that I had learnt from Him about prayer to touch heaven to change earth.

    1: UNLOCKING THE POWER OF GOD’S VOICE

    The power to pray is to learn to pray as Jesus did: praying as the Father has shown Him. This chapter explores the ways that God speaks to us and how you can distinguish between God’s voice, Satan’s voice and your own feelings and desires that can influence us.

    2: UNLOCKING THE POWER OF THE LORD’S PRAYER

    We look at the foundation principles for every believer who wants to pray more effectively. These are Relationship with God, Reverence for God, Right Kingdom Focus for our prayers, Right Requests, Repentant Heart, Resistance to Satan.

    3: UNLOCKING THE POWER OF YOUR AUTHORITY AND FAITH

    Jesus gave the disciples and us the authority that came from him. What is that authority and how we are to use it is the theme of the first part of the chapter. Then we explore the faith that is required to move mountains.

    4: UNLOCKING THE PRAYER POWER TOOLS

    The bible records many ways to effectively pray for specific situations. There are numerous prayer tools that are to be used to pray more powerfully and effectively, viz working with Jesus and the Holy Spirit to bring about transformation.

    5: UNLOCKING THE POWER OF FASTING

    The bible records a number of fasts that help to release God’s answer that may have been delayed or bring change to a situation that may be dire. This chapter explores what the biblical purpose for fasting, the type of fasts and practical advice about fasting.

    If we are going to overcome the enemy, we need to know Satan and his army, how he works and how to overcome him. We need to know the legal rights and remove them so that Satan has no might.

    This chapter explores the nature of sickness from physical sickness to mental sickness and how it might be linked to sin, the heart, lack of forgiveness and Satan and why some are not healed. Finally, we look as to how we can pray for the sick.

    The old saying “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” is not true. words hurt! this chapter examines the nature of words and curses, how you can determine whether a curse is acting on you and how to cancel them. This chapter also examines self-cursing or inner vows and how to undo them.

    9: UNLOCKING THE POWER TO SET YOUR PROPERTY FREE

    Many farms struggle to be productive. Many businesses struggle to become successful. Some classrooms struggle to be an environment of learning. Many homes struggle to have peace in them. We have found that in some cases there are spiritual reasons that are causing this struggle. This chapter examines how properties may become defiled and enable the enemy to impact and affect them. Prayers are given to enable the owners to set the property or business or classroom or home free.

    10: UNLOCKING THE POWER TO PROTECT ONESELF AND OTHERS

    We live in a world where we are becoming more under attack from various sources. We ask for God’s protection. But what does it mean? We explore the meaning of God’s protection and give a prayer of protection to cover you and your family from spiritual attack.

    11: UNLOCKING THE POWER TO BRING BACK REBELS

    One of the most heartbreaking issues to deal with is when people walk away from their family and friends because of family conflict or getting involved with the “wrong crowd” or some form of addiction or mental health issues. The only answer is prayer. But it must be targeted prayer that works with the Holy Spirit to achieve a good outcome. The Rebel Prayer that is given and explained has had a lot of success in bringing back people from darkness into the light by the power of Jesus.

    12: UNLOCKING THE POWER TO SET THE CAPTIVE FREE

    This last chapter is the prayer process that I have developed and used over many years to set the captive free. It covers the many ways that people are held captive to sickness and Satan: Family or Generational patterns; word curses and vows; sin; unforgiveness; bitter roots; demonic strongholds; trauma and the associated impact through fragmentation or dissociation of the soul. Explanation is given for each area and prayers given that set the captive free in each area.

    Kindly may u see how these two aged women where healed from serious  pneumonia and hypertension. They could not managed to walk, stand , sit  alone . They were brought in our meeting in weelchair from their respective homes after tried medicine from various hospitals  by their relatives. After we prayed to them using your prayer book, we bind any form of sickness, curse in their lives to go at the feet of Jesus . After the prayer both of them called us to their respective homes for the healing celebration. We also called their families to come and witness what the lord has done in lives of their mothers .
